For the days when the grave feels stronger than resurrection hope.

If death is swallowed up in victory, why does your grief still treat it as the final mouth? You may confess resurrection and still treat the grave as the strongest fact in the room. Your false refuge may be control: replaying the last hours, searching for one decision that could make the loss reversible. Control cannot answer death’s sting. It only keeps your heart circling the mouth that has already opened against you.

The verse names sin as death’s sting and the law as sin’s power. Christ meets this exact condition at the cross: he bears sin’s judgment. In his resurrection, he gives victory through himself, not through your ability to feel victorious. The perishable will put on imperishable. The mortal will put on immortality. Victory does not deny the grave; it denies the grave its final word. This hope does not require your sorrow to disappear today. It rests on the risen Lord who will clothe his people with life.
