A season for carrying vulnerable hope without asking it to become certain.

He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.
Isaiah 40:11

The Shepherd gathers lambs. Does your vulnerable hope make you feel you must protect it alone? You carry every appointment and feared disappointment as though tenderness depends on vigilance. His arms name your weakness without despising it. You have begun treating care as a burden only you can bear.

Your false refuge may be the fertility calendar. You return to its dates for control, reading each entry as a verdict on whether hope is safe. But a calendar cannot feed, gather, carry, or gently lead. It records; it does not shepherd.

In Christ, the Shepherd has come near in flesh. At the cross, He bore your sin and shame; risen, He intercedes for you. He does not promise a child or a date. He gives welcome before the result and remains when the result wounds. The Shepherd does not ask you to make your hope invulnerable before He carries you. Will you release the calendar’s verdict today and receive His gentle leading?

The Shepherd does not ask you to make your hope invulnerable before He carries you.
Prayer

Lord Jesus, keep me from making control my shepherd, and teach me to receive Your carrying care today. Amen.
