For the season when love must trust beyond explanation.

If you must not lean on your own understanding, what are you doing with the explanations you build around your loved one? You call prediction wisdom. You replay conversations, inspect silences, and calculate the next turn. Your heart is seeking safety in parental analysis, a false refuge of control. Your understanding is a narrow shoulder on the road; your child’s choices exceed your sight.

To acknowledge Yahweh in all your ways means bringing this child, your questions, and your helplessness under his rule. It does not mean pretending the road is clear. It means refusing to make your interpretation its lord. Your limited understanding cannot become the measure of Yahweh’s faithfulness. In Christ, God has come near to sinners who cannot straighten what they have bent. The crucified and risen Christ intercedes for his people. Your care is real, but it is not your savior.

Release the demand to understand before you trust. Name what you know, confess what you do not, and ask for obedience at the next step—not a forecast of the whole path. Will you acknowledge Yahweh here before you can explain where this road leads?
