For the season when marital status feels like a verdict.

“In the resurrection,” Jesus says, marriage will not define the people of God. That future exposes a present question: What do you think makes you fully yourself? If your answer depends on being chosen by a spouse, you are treating a temporary category as your final name. Jesus calls that mistake ignorance of Scripture and the power of God.

Your condition is not merely loneliness. You have made marital status carry the weight of identity, then looked to a future spouse to certify your worth. That is a false refuge. A status card cannot survive the resurrection. Neither rejection nor singleness can tell the whole truth about you, because Jesus says resurrection life exceeds the arrangements that now seem decisive.

Christ does not answer this ache by shaming marriage or denying your desire. He answers it by rising from the dead. In him, your future is anchored in resurrection, not in eventual pairing. The risen Christ will give his people life beyond decay and a belonging deeper than marital classification. The resurrection makes marital status too small to carry your name. Will you bring your need for a spouse under the authority of the risen Christ today?
