A season for tending what has been entrusted.

“Faithful over a few things”—does that expose how you measure your day? You may call small duties beneath notice and shelter in visible importance. A large assignment, public praise, or impressive title seems safer than quiet obedience. Yet the servant is assessed by faithfulness, not by the size of what was placed in his hands. Faithfulness treats a few things as weighty because the Lord has entrusted them.

“Well done” comes from the Lord, not your own scoreboard. That matters when work is repetitive, hidden, or interrupted. A small responsibility cannot carry the weight of your identity. The incarnate Christ entered the servant’s place and went to the cross for proud refusal and weary neglect. His resurrection gives you a living Lord who receives repentant servants, not performers earning a verdict.

“I will set you over many things” points beyond the few, but it is not a ladder for self-advancement. The promised joy belongs to the Lord and is entered at his call. Carry today’s entrusted task as a sealed envelope, not proof that you matter. Will you place this small responsibility under the gaze of the risen Christ and do it faithfully?
